ABOUT

Turbo Pascal develops interactive performances that turn the theater into an assembly and negotiation space for social processes, dynamics and utopias. In addition, the collective, which was founded in the context of the Cultural Studies and Aesthetic Practice program in Hildesheim, realizes participatory projects with citizens or young people and develops formats for conversation and communication. The collective has been based in Berlin since 2008 and works continuously with Sophiensælen, as well as with HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Deutsches Theater, and Theater an der Parkaue.

„Böse Häuser“ (2017) was invited to Stückemarkt of the 2018 Berlin Theatertreffen, „Die Paten“ (2016) was invited to the festival Augenblick mal! (2017). In 2018, Turbo Pascal was awarded the George Tabori Promotion Prize. „Unterscheidet euch“ at Theater an der Parkaue Berlin received the Ikarus Prize in 2019.

GUEST PERFORMANCES

We develop our performances mostly in German. However, a translation into English is possible for some of our pieces and we are very interested in working on translations.
